That’s the US market. They can have different specs.

Yeah but if the keep the same design for about another 80 years they will be as consistent as HD

Besides ABS and Cruise there really isn’t much more to do with the 9. Could chuck a bit more go in it perhaps.

As happy as I am with my 9, there is a few refinements that would easily be fixed on the design floor.
Gearbox needs back cut gears to assist with shifting. And their rear suspension, as it has been for the last 13 yrs sux ass.

    I've had 4 ... may as well be 5 ....... ;)

Yep ... I would like ABS and as Chops points out a bit of an upgrade in the rear suspension would be nice.

Suzuki are so far behind the modern bikes it'll take a major leap to catch up.

    cut and paste from 2020 Suzuki M109R B.O.S.S. Specifications " ... TIRES, FRONT/REAR TBD; 120/70R-18 / 240/40R-18 "
New size front tire or misprint ???
Once classic chrome, candy black overall and ABS will be on new model, it will be my time for upgrade ...

I reckon the 109 is a great value cruiser for the price. Sub 20k compared to a 30k + HD considering both have similar technology and fit and finish. They are not going to improve suspension and brakes and keep it at the same price.
If you want to say compare it to the Ducati Diavel/ XDiavel with all their extra tech ( ABS, Traction control, Engine power modes), high end brakes and suspension, premium finish, etc etc....
Would you pay 30k to 35k for a 109 with all the extra gear a XDiavel has?
