Talking to a neighbour a couple of days ago. She is Planning a trip to Brisvegas via Birdsville or Innamincka. I've done a LOT on miles on outback roads in a 2wd Tin Top so am not concerned about the dirt, but, am I mad to consider it on a Boully? Certainly, I'd not do it alone, but, is it worth the "risk" with at least 1, and probably more, 4wd vehicles as "backup"? Would the bike handle the corrugations which is usually the problem on these roads (unless it rains, of course). I've wanted to do, either the Strzlecky or Birdsville tracks for a looooooong time and an opportunity doesn't often land in your lap like this. If so, what spares would you recommend? If not, why not?
