With many troops overseas on deployment and away from their families for Christmas, now might be an opportune time to thank them by sending a care parcel to a random serving member for Christmas.
A small BX2 box(A4 size) available from a post office can be send post free if it weighs 2kg or under.
I sent a parcel to my son which was happily received, a couple of packets of biscuits to share, Milo bars he squirreled away for himself, razors and a tube of shave cream, simple things they might miss from home

Ignore what they say about chocolate. I used to get Tim Tams sent to me by the truckload. They’d always be a little melted but without a doubt, the most popular item on mail day.

Lollies, jerkey, current magazines (my mates sent porn all the time) and books. Proper books that are new and relevant. Not the cheap $2 op shop stuff.

Lastly, Australian toiletries. The stuff you buy in the PX over there is always American junk. Sometimes getting body wash, toothpaste or shampoo from home was pretty awesome. Just make sure you bag it up in case of leaks.
