Hi guys, well after 5 years of mucking around, then 5 years of racing sport bikes and then 10 years of riding turbo bikes to and from work, the wife called an end to it all after the birth of my first child. after many years of hiding from anything that reminded me of bikes and what i was missing, i finally got rid of the wife and replaced her with a CBR 1100 XX Super Blackbird. Man all my Christmases had come at once. After 20 years away i was back in dream land. Everything was worth living for again. Fun times for over a year, as i regained the skills i once possessed. Now, meeting a few riders who did not posses my need for speed and who love the looong rides out in country (im from Perth) it was soon apparent that my 50+ 6'3" 105kg body didn't like being cramped up for extended periods of time on this speed demon, so time for something different. CRUISER! now i had never ridden one of these contraptions nor had i even considered such a non-performance machine, however after staring at the many variations of bike for many a day (more like weeks), i finally started to take an interest in these Muscle Cruisers i had never heard of. and BAM!! the M109r Smacked me in the face. my first ride was atrocious, i couldn't corner turn or anything, in fact my heart was in my mouth for the majority of the ride (this is not fun and definitely not a sport bike LOL) however this did not deter me from mastering this new riding style, and soon it became second nature. Without doubt this is my favourite of bikes for anything more than a speed thrill (although this thing has more grunt than anyone would ever need ) and although my adorable Blackbird will always remain one of my top picks of my now growing stable, this monstrous beast has become the go-to ride for almost all my needs. Love comes in many forms i guess I am overjoyed to join this new riding community, see you on the road.
