    Putting this out there.
What is the advantage of K&N air filters over standard air filters?

Where is the best place to buy them and do they need any treatment before install?

You can get them on eBay. They need to be oiled sprayed or wiped before install. Plenty of YouTube clips.

For the extra cost, I wouldn't waste my time. Current oem filters have been proven to flow as good as k&n.
If you want to go with k&n,, don't expect any amazing benefit.
Their technology is behind current performance filters.
(ps, their oil filters are crap, avoid at all costs)

I have never used K and N oil filters before but I was given one recently and was going to use it on my next oil change. Why are they crap and should I just toss it in the bin and use my usual oil filter.?

Yep, stick with the Suzuki eom filter. They have a habit or bursting, leaking, and the nut fixture at the end does sfa except break off.
Do a google search and read some of the stories on the oil filters.
