From recent posts it looks like there are a few of us that have other toys and hobbies apart from two wheels.

I've been working on cars and bikes as a hobby since I was a kid, I think I'm up to around 40 vehicles owned over the years. I'm lucky enough now to have a bit of cash to buy a couple of toys as well as our daily drivers.

Here's my current toys, what does everyone else do for a hobby.

XR8, was as rough as when I got it, 12 months on and it's looking, sounding and going pretty good for an old Ford

My latest is my this little gem, 1964, one owner. Last registered 1982.

    So far almost no rust.

Well Brian...........given my self imposed sabbattical from the 9, this toy will (partially) fill the void for now.
Its something that I get to use - with kids activities on almost every weekend (both saturdays and sundays), its something they can be involved in too.

Ive been slowly hoarding bits and pieces for it, its very similar to the 9 in that you cant modify ANYTHING (except with the 9's you can get away with exhaust or intakes) without a tune, otherwise they run lean. So its all gotta happen at once.

This is a pic 100% unmolested.

Aside from a few small give aways that 99.5% of people would never pick, it looks just like the 3 that grandma drives to church every sunday.

Im yet to put in the coilovers and throw on the bigger factory mags Ive got waiting.
Once the bits and pieces for the power side of things is sorted, it should turn a very low 13.
Its not a rotary, its not a muscle car, and its not a 9. But its my comfortable, economical, quick little daily.
Its keeping me interested for now.
Perhaps if the money is available, Ill get another bike. Probably a 9.
    Theres something about them.

Anyway, for anyone wondering........thats me for now.

Oh, and heres a snippet from Wheels magazine 2006 Mazda Mps release - test drive results.......

Just in case you were wondering WTF I was thinking......;)

I was doing this but parked it a bit hard last year and broke lots of bones and bruised a lung so my race manager forced me into retirement

I write music, play music, fly my drone, and try to fit in time to make one off bikes. It's been about 18 months since I finished a bike so I need to pull my finger out.
