Hi guys neutral light not coming on sometimes , usually at traffic lights or when I pull up somewhere , but when I put my stand down or sometimes just give it a slight touch down with my foot while I’m at the lights the neutral light comes back on . Any ideas how to fix this or what’s causing it ? I have unplugged the gear sensor lead also taken it off and cleaned it , but i have put it down to something to do with the side stand
    is this a possibility
    Thanks in advance

Mine did exactly same. Sometimes in neutral but no light..
I ended up replacing the gear sensor and that fixed it.
Always showed green and neutral everytime after.

I cleaned it heaps, didn't help.

Did it turn back on if you moved the stand ??
Also how much did the sensor cost to replace ?
    Thanks

Can't remember anything about the stand. I only ever noticed it when out and about.. . Stopped at lights, etc.
And sorry, can't remember what it cost, I know it wasn't a huge amount..

    Cmon now fellas...
WD40 only works on imperial bikes...
    INOX works on metric bikes...

I thought the WD40 was only good for use on the chain of an M109R.

Looks like the inox has done the trick, but will see how it goes when I’m riding in traffic

Sorry , only went for a ride yesterday still not fixed
So it may be the switch itself I’ll have to go through the manual and run the tests with a multimeter

Your sidestand switch and gear position sensor shares common wiring with the indicator relay, so ...
Check that all your indicators work and also when using the hazard function.
The side stand circuit also has diodes in the circuit, which also may be an issue.

Yeah I read up on it in the manual last night briefly , I think the indicators work all good but haven’t checked hazards , I think sometimes the stand switch might be fubar
