On our little trip west in 2014 we were talking about how to do this again and where we should go. For me, I've always wanted to go to Uluru and I've only got 2 states to go and I've ridden all 7 states. I've always wanted to visit Darwin and if we are lucky they will have removed the speed limit in the NT by then. So we are doing a little straight up the middle trip to Darwin in October 2016. We haven't decided which one of these two variations we will do yet and its up for discussion. Getting yourself to the start point is up to you and isn't included in the distance calculations, nor is getting yourself home from Sydney. I've put a poll in this thread, I may or may not pay attention to it, its more to create discussion. Hey Diddle Diddle Straight up the Middle 6000km Port Pirie to Darwin and back via Woomera, Uluru, Alice Springs, Katherine, Darwin and then reversed. Taking on our learning's from the WA ride, this will involve stopping for longer at specific points and more organised "stuff to do" at each location. "The Box" 7200km Port Pirie to Darwin via Woomera, Uluru, Alice Springs, Katherine, Darwin. Back via Darwin, Katherine, Mount Isa, Townsville, Mackay, Rockhampton/Yeppoon, Bundaberg (Rum tour is compulsory!) - basically a parade down the Queensland coast back to Sydney.
