Hi all I'm new to this forum and have been reading a lot about fitting the TRE Mod and how much more power people are saying they are getting?
I have a 2017 M109 and bought one of eBay about 6 mths ago and fitted it but found no difference what so ever to the smoothness or power gain only difference it makes is the gear indicator saying 4th. Is mine a dud ??? or is it in everyone's mind that they have more power now a mod has been done?

Hey Jactac, a tre won't add power. What it can do is smooth out the power delivery in the lower gears. As in, roundabouts, low speed cruising, etc. It removes timing retard from the lower gears and tricks the ecu thinking it's in 4th all the time.
What make and model did you buy? Normally the newer good ones keep the gear indicator working.

Hi JR it was advertised for M109 but did state it would make the 4th gear indicator say 4th all the time . Do you have a link or know where to get one that wouldn't affect the gear indicator ?

The only one that I know that works well, and I've fitted a few for the guys is the healtec unit.
Can't get a link at the moment, but do a Dr google search for healtec and then should be sorted. They're not $70 tho

    Healtech XT-S01.
Doesn't mess with the gear indicator.
Judt gotta splice in a couple of wires.
    Makes a huge difference.
Got mine from Superbike Supply online. $170
